What are some (less known) Linux application that you can't live without?

I settled on which seems to be using about half the ram that used - on my system anyways. Your results may vary lol.

Dear Mastodon, we're ~60 followers away from 12K! Can you help us get there?

Help by spreading the word that:

🔵 Privacy is a human right.

🔵 Tracking & surveillance are widespread on the internet.

🔵 Tor is a nonprofit that can help you take back your privacy online.

I could really use some advice! Can anyone recommend a privacy conscious web browser that doesn't suck up 2 gigs of ram when under light use? Brave is a good browser but a huge resource HOG!

This is what us Canadians do on a wintery day. Sit around the fire, drinking coffee ... waiting to get out into the woods again. 😂

@tech has been posting great videos lately and has now turned me on to Fluent RSS reader, bpytop system monitor and lsd :) Stop posting such great content @tech! I'm not getting my work done :) Seriously though, go give @techhut a visit on the YouTubes.

When you only have 4G of really slow RAM ... may not be the best option 😆

I just confirmed that yes, @brave browser's Tor mode appears to leak all the .onion addresses you visit to your DNS provider

Brave had one fucking job to do.

@root_toot That's always the case with Haskell. They're very tiny packages but there are lots of them. They also update very frequently.
I put up with it because .

Yesterday I removed 8 different Window Managers that came pre-installed with ArcolinuxB Xtended. In that process I removed Xmonad ...today... surprise surprise lol, My system tried to update 116 Haskell packages. Grrr. Goodbye Haskell!

If your favorite messaging service has its own smartphone app then chances are you really shouldn't use it.
