I have migrated from :github: to a self hosted instance. I think every GPL repository owner should do so to avoid the mess.

Gitea is really easy to install and lightweight. Furthermore it's Free Software! For me it's one of the greatest :git: server solutions nowadays.

Hello Fediverse,

I have a 20 weeks international internship scheduled for September this year. The country I target is Germany.

The mission I look for is a Software Engineer position. The stack in use is ideally Go or Vue.js. However I can learn another language in order to supply the internship needs.

Sharing with others this toot is appreciated. Thanks for your consideration.

I have give a try to st :terminal:. For those who don't know it's the :suckless: terminal emulator.

And that make me wondering. Is there people here that have real need for GPU accelerated terminal emulators like alacritty ?

Recently switch from :emacs: to :vim: as my default text editor. I need psychological support :rms3:

LBRY (Odysee) vs Peertube, what is your favorite for a YouTube alternative?

If you want to contribute to #orgmode (#emacs) with a useful, easy (and yes, a bit boring) task, we are looking for someone to take charge of reproducing bugs 🐞 reported to the list:

RT appreciated. 🙏

I encourage everyone to chip in on this crowd fund campaign. Louis Rossman, well-known Right to Repair lobbyist wants to get laws passed in his country USA for Right to Repair.

This will greatly benefit projects like coreboot and riscv-related projects.

Right to repair means: access to schematics, boardviews and other such info necessary for repair. Presently, hardware/logic info is highly restrictive. This law would be a huge legal precedent for future rights.

Being still relatively new to Mastodon, this is something I am genuinely curious about:

Do you have Mastodon accounts on multiple instances?
:mastodon: - :mastodon: :mastodon: - > :mastodon: :mastodon:

Do you use an RSS/Atom reader?

Boosts appreciated for sample size :)

I find today a robot dance simulation done in the scope of my scientific seminary at the beginning of this year. It was to showcase the usefulness of inverted kinematics applied to robot. :100a:

Finally get rid of this proprietary junk :rms: . I have struggle a bit with another WiFi card (returned to amazon, they send me the wrong reference). I replaced it with a third one, a QCA9565 chip that work out of the box with the ath9k free as in freedom driver. :fsf:
